Living the Christian life does not always fit neatly into the borders of the dreams we desire it to be. Life in general has jagged edges that refuse to abide within the squared blueprints of the glorious and abundant life One Father has promised. We read the Word and stretch our humanity hoping that our forward steps will one day be sufficient to overcome the inevitable backward stumbles so we can attain His goals for us. This reaching that ever escapes our grasp leaves us torn, weary and seemingly defeated. Then one day we finally realize it is the humbling of this world's rough edges that lands us safely in the grip of His Grace which is the goal.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
